Our Mediterranean adventure begins and ends in Rome! I highly recommend arriving a few days early to explore this incredible city. Visit the Colosseum, toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, wander through the piazzas, and enjoy some wonderful Italian food. I'll be helping with hotel arrangements, and I'm even considering an optional group experience in Rome if there's enough interest!
Santorini is one of those places that really does look like the postcards! Think whitewashed villages, blue-domed churches, and incredible views over the sparkling Aegean Sea. Spend the day exploring the charming streets of Oia or Fira, sampling Greek food, or simply soaking up the scenery.
Mykonos is full of charm, with its winding whitewashed streets, colorful doors, waterfront cafés, and famous windmills. Wander through Little Venice, browse the little shops, enjoy a leisurely Greek lunch, or head to one of the island's beautiful beaches. It's a lovely place to slow down and explore at your own pace.
Step back in time as you explore the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. Walk along marble streets once traveled by the Romans, admire the magnificent Library of Celsus, and imagine what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago. This is a wonderful stop for anyone who loves history!
Our final port brings us to southern Italy, where there are so many wonderful ways to spend the day! Explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii, take a boat to the beautiful island of Capri, visit the Amalfi Coast, or stay in Naples for authentic Neapolitan pizza and a taste of local life. You'll have some tough choices to make at this stop!
I'm considering putting together an optional two-night pre-cruise stay for anyone who would like to explore Rome together before we board Odyssey of the Seas. I'm hoping to include some sightseeing, time to explore on your own, and transportation from Rome to the cruise port in Civitavecchia on embarkation day.
Rome is a great city and there's so much to see! Whether it's your first visit or you've been before, there's always something worth exploring.
I'm still working on the details and pricing, but my goal is to keep this reasonably priced while making the logistics as easy as possible.
Flights are not included in the cruise fare, and our cruise begins and ends in Rome. You can certainly arrive a few days early or extend your vacation afterward! Spend another day or two exploring Italy, or even hop over to Sicily or Malta for a few days.
The pre-cruise stay will be completely optional, and I'm happy to help with additional hotel arrangements and travel plans if you'd like to make a longer trip out of it. I'll share more details about the Rome experience once everything comes together in about a year or so.
All prices shown are for two guests, including port taxes and fees.
I've secured some great group rates for our Mediterranean cruise!
What does Guaranteed Balcony mean? With this option, Royal Caribbean chooses your cabin for you. You're guaranteed a balcony, but you won't be able to select its location, deck, or view. You could end up with a great cabin or one with an obstructed view. It's a terrific price if you're flexible!
If you'd rather choose your exact balcony cabin, I can check current pricing and availability. These cabins are outside my reserved group inventory, and the standard deposit is nonrefundable. Prices can change at any time.
For my reserved group cabins, a $500 deposit per cabin secures your reservation and is refundable until July 1, 2028, when final payment is due.
Traveling solo? Single occupancy is available at nearly the same total cabin price, minus the taxes and port fees for the second guest. Cabins for three or four guests are limited and must be booked outside the group at current rates.
*The choose-your-own balcony price is based on availability as of October 15, 2026, and is subject to change.

Dining venues and operating hours may vary during the cruise. Specialty restaurants and certain beverages are available for an additional charge.
In addition to the complimentary dining options included with your cruise, Odyssey of the Seas offers several specialty restaurants for an additional cost. Enjoy Italian favorites and handmade pasta at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen, fresh sushi and sashimi at Izumi, or a delicious steak dinner at Chops Grille. For something a little different, watch the chefs prepare your meal right in front of you at Teppanyaki, or experience the creative, multi-sensory dining at Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine.
For a special evening, Chef's Table offers an intimate, multi-course dining experience with wine pairings. There's something for just about every taste!
Specialty dining is optional, and pricing varies by restaurant. Reservations are recommended and can be made through the Royal Caribbean app when available or onboard the ship.
What are the benefits of booking with the group?
There are several! I've reserved a limited number of cabins at special group rates, and those cabins come with refundable deposits until final payment. That's a nice perk, especially when you're planning a trip this far in advance!
You'll also have me helping coordinate the details, including hotel arrangements before and after the cruise, flight recommendations, and transportation options. I'm even looking into a possible group excursion in Rome!
And one of my favorite parts? You'll have the opportunity to meet other travelers and enjoy some experiences together, while still having the freedom to do your own thing. You can be as involved with the group as you'd like!
What if I don't want to stay with the group the whole time?
Not at all! You're welcome to join group activities, excursions, or meals, but there's absolutely no obligation. Explore the ship and ports at your own pace, spend time with your traveling companions, or join us whenever you'd like. This is your vacation!
Do I have to eat with the group?
Nope! Dining is flexible onboard. You can eat in the main dining room, grab something casual at the buffet, or try one of the specialty restaurants (additional charges may apply).
If you'd like to dine with certain members of our group in the main dining room, let me know and I'll do my best to coordinate your reservations.
Is group airfare available?
Not for this sailing. I will provide guidance on flight timing, including when to arrive in Rome and what to consider when booking your return flight.
Should I arrive in Rome before the cruise?
Absolutely! I always recommend arriving at least one day before an international cruise, and two or three days would be even better if you'd like time to explore Rome.
I'll be helping coordinate hotel arrangements before and after the cruise, so you won't have to figure everything out on your own.
Will there be any group activities in Rome?
I'm looking into the possibility of organizing a pre- or post-cruise group experience in Rome for anyone who would like to spend a little more time exploring Italy.
Details and pricing will be shared once I know how much interest there is. Participation will be completely optional.
Are transfers included?
No. Airport transfers and transportation between Rome and the cruise port in Civitavecchia are not included in the cruise fare. I'll provide recommendations and help coordinate transportation options as we get closer to departure.
Is my cruise deposit refundable?
Yes, IF you book one of my reserved group cabins! The interior, oceanview, and guaranteed balcony cabins in my group are all based on double occupancy and have a $500 refundable deposit per cabin until the final payment deadline of July 1, 2028.
If you book a cabin outside my reserved group inventory, such as a regular balcony or a cabin for three or four guests, the standard deposit is nonrefundable. Royal Caribbean does offer a refundable deposit option, but it currently costs approximately $1,000 more per cabin.
I'll explain the deposit and cancellation terms for your specific cabin before you make a payment. After final payment, Royal Caribbean's cancellation penalties apply.
Are children allowed on the ship?
Yes! Odyssey of the Seas is a family-friendly ship with activities for children and teens, including Royal Caribbean's Adventure Ocean youth program.
If you're bringing children, let me know their ages so I can help you find suitable accommodations.
Can I have more than two people in my cabin?
Yes! But please note that my reserved group rates are for single or double occupancy only, with all advertised prices based on two people sharing a cabin.
If you're traveling solo, you'll pay nearly the same total cabin price as two people. The main difference is that you won't pay the taxes and port fees for a second guest, which may reduce the total by approximately $300. I'll confirm the exact price when quoting your cabin.
Cabins for three or four guests are limited and must be booked outside my group inventory at current rates, subject to availability. If you're traveling with more than two people, I recommend booking early!
What is a Guaranteed Balcony cabin?
A Guaranteed Balcony means Royal Caribbean chooses your cabin for you. You're guaranteed a balcony, but you won't be able to select the deck, location, or view. You could end up with a great cabin or one with a significantly obstructed view or less desirable location. Your cabin assignment may not be available until just before sailing.
Can I choose my own balcony cabin?
Certainly! If you'd prefer to select your exact cabin, I can check current pricing and availability. As of October 15, 2026, those balcony cabins start at $3,846 total for two people.
These cabins are outside my reserved group inventory, so the standard deposit is nonrefundable. Prices can change at any time, and I'll explain the deposit and cancellation terms before booking.
