I'm Lisa Coombs, an independent travel advisor who has been planning group trips, cruises, and customized vacations since 2012. Over the years, I've helped travelers celebrate anniversaries, reunions, retirements, honeymoons, and bucket-list adventures around the world. From European river cruises and Christmas markets to Alaska, Iceland, and the Mediterranean, I love helping people turn travel dreams into well-planned, stress-free experiences.
In 2022, I turned my lifelong love of travel into a full-time business and joined Fora Travel as an independent advisor. Since then, I've earned PRO status, one of the highest advisor levels within the company, along with numerous destination and cruise certifications. I specialize in Europe, river cruises, ocean cruises, and small-group travel, with particular expertise in France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Christmas markets, and heritage-inspired journeys.
What I enjoy most is helping travelers feel confident before they leave home. Whether it's choosing the right itinerary, navigating the details of a complex trip, or simply having someone in your corner when questions come up, my goal is to make travel feel easier and more enjoyable from start to finish.

Fridays: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Mondays and Wednesdays are reserved for focused client work. During this time, I only respond to active clients and new inquiries.

To earn Pro Status, I was required to:
• Complete over 100 hours of professional coursework focused on destinations, advanced sales, marketing strategy, and client experience
• Maintain a consistent record of five-star client reviews and positive feedback
• Meet or exceed annual booking and revenue benchmarks established by Fora Travel
• Demonstrate expertise through continued participation in professional development and supplier training
This milestone reflects my dedication to continuous learning and my commitment to delivering exceptional, personalized travel planning for every client I serve.
As a certified Avalon Waterways Specialist, I completed an in-depth training program through the Avalon Advisor Academy, which includes multiple hours of product and destination webinars, detailed modules on Europe’s major rivers, and interactive learning on the brand’s unique “Suite Ship” design and onboard experience.
Training covered the Rhine, Danube, Rhône, Seine, and Mekong Rivers, along with insight into excursions, stateroom layouts, and regional highlights that make each journey distinct.
This certification allows me to help clients choose the perfect itinerary and cabin style, ensuring a river cruise experience that feels effortless, scenic, and personal from start to finish.
As a certified AmaWaterways Specialist, I completed the full AmaAcademy training program, successfully finishing all five certification courses focused on AmaWaterways river cruises, the ships, and the onboard experience.
The training includes in-depth modules on Europe’s major river cruise routes, including the Rhine, Danube, Rhône, Seine, and Douro Rivers. It also covers ship design, stateroom categories, excursions, cuisine, and the details that make AmaWaterways one of the most respected names in European river cruising.
Completing the full AmaAcademy program allows me to help clients choose the right AmaWaterways river cruise itinerary, ship, and cabin style so their journey along Europe’s rivers feels seamless, scenic, and thoughtfully planned from start to finish.
I earned my Masters of Adventure through Royal Caribbean University, completing more than 10 hours of coursework on destinations, ships, and stateroom categories across the entire Royal Caribbean fleet.
The program includes detailed modules, live webinars, and product training focused on itinerary planning, ship features, and onboard experiences—from dining and entertainment to family programs and suite-level perks.
This certification ensures I can guide clients to the right ship, cabin, and sailing for their travel style, helping every cruiser make the most of their Royal Caribbean adventure.
As a Mexperts Certified Advisor, I completed an in-depth training program led by Lori Gold, focused exclusively on the Mexican Caribbean. The program included dozens of hours of destination-focused webinars, supplier presentations, and live resort spotlights, all designed to build expert-level knowledge of the region.
Training covered the top resorts from Cancun to Tulum, plus insider insight on local culture, gastronomy, and authentic experiences throughout the Riviera Maya.
This certification allows me to confidently recommend properties and activities that fit each traveler’s unique preferences—whether that’s a luxury all-inclusive, boutique hideaway, or adventure-filled getaway.
Through Marcie Muensterman’s First Class Facebook program, I learned how to build and nurture a genuine online travel community that inspires connection and trust. The training included targeted marketing strategy, audience engagement, and storytelling techniques designed specifically for travel advisors.
This course helped me create a warm, interactive space where travelers can share ideas, ask questions, and find inspiration for their next adventure.
This course focused on perfecting the client journey—from first inquiry to booked trip. I completed comprehensive training on proposal design, communication strategy, and workflow systems to ensure that each client feels supported and confident every step of the way.
