As you prepare for our Alaska group cruise, here are some important flight recommendations to ensure a smooth travel experience:

✈Arrival Flights (to Seattle – SEA):

• Book round-trip flights to Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

• Ideal arrival: Sunday, May 31st — the day before the cruise departs. This gives you a buffer in case of any travel delays and lets you enjoy a little time in Seattle!

If you must arrive on cruise day (Monday, June 1st):

• The ship departs at 4:00 PM sharp.

• You should plan to arrive in Seattle no later than 11:00 AM — allowing 3–5 hours before departure.

• Important: The ship will not wait for late arrivals, even due to flight delays.

Return Flights (from Seattle – SEA):

• The cruise docks back in Seattle on the morning of Monday, June 8th.

• Although the ship arrives around 7:00 AM, disembarkation can take several hours.

• You’ll also need to factor in time to get to the airport and arrive 2 hours before your flight.

• Recommended departure time: No earlier than 12:00 PM (noon).

• Flights before 12:00–1:00 PM are not advised, as they leave little margin for delays.

If you're arriving late and prefer to stay near the airport, I recommend:

• Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle Airport for $165 plus taxes (1 King or 2 Queens, free cancellation).

Or if you want to stay downtown, here are some options that have decent reviews:

• Hyatt Place Seattle Downtown: Standard rate with free cancellation $254, Member rate $238 or Advance Purchase (nonrefundable) $201. Taxes additional, prices subject to change.
• Homewood Suites by Hilton Seattle Downtown Starts at $322 plus taxes.
• La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Seattle Downtown $238 plus taxes (1 King or 2 Queen beds, free cancellation).

The journey from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to the cruise terminals in downtown Seattle takes roughly 35–40 minute drive depending on traffic conditions. We recommend flying in the day before or ensuring your flight lands at least 3 hours before embarkation, to allow plenty of time—even if traffic or transfers slow you down.

Tips for a Smooth Arrival:

• Allow buffer time in case of traffic delays—25–40 minutes is average, but peak hours may extend this.

• Pre-booking shuttles or rideshares can help avoid last-minute stress.

• Royal Caribbean offers transfers from the airport to the cruise ship and back. They will be available soon to purchase on the app.

From I-5 South:

• Head north on I-5 and follow signs to the Mercer Street Exit
• Take exit 167 (left-side off-ramp) to Mercer Street
• Take a right turn on to Fairview Avenue North (400 feet)
• Take a left turn on Valley Street (0.18 miles)
• Valley Street bends to the left and becomes Broad Street (0.75 miles)
• Turn right to Denny Way (0.32 miles)
• Bend right to Western Avenue (0.22 miles)
• Western joins Elliott Avenue West (1.18 miles)
• Follow signs to Magnolia Bridge
• Turn right at 14th Ave West (signal light intersection) (0.14 miles)
• Stay to the right and follow ramp joining the Magnolia Bridge (West Garfield Street) (0.35 miles)
• Exit right. Follow signs to Smith Cove Park (0.55 miles) and Cruise Terminal
• Turn right at bottom of ramp and follow signs for cruise terminal parking or cruise terminal

Parking Information

Parking is available via a remote lot at the terminal, which is served by shuttle bus. Space for luggage will be available on the Shuttle. Reservations for parking are recommended.
